Fun Facts & Random Lists

Random lists, rankings, and facts about me. Inspired by Sheldon Cooper's meticulous documentation of everything. You won't find my bathroom schedule here though ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ† Favorite Algorithms (Ranked)

  1. Transformer Architecture - Revolutionary. Changed everything in NLP and beyond.
  2. Gradient Descent - Simple yet powerful. The backbone of ML.
  3. Dijkstra's Algorithm - Elegant solution to shortest path. Beautiful.
  4. QuickSort - Fast, efficient, and satisfying to implement.
  5. Dynamic Programming - Not an algorithm per se, but a mindset. Powerful.

๐Ÿ’ก Things I Learned the Hard Way

  • Always version control your experiments. Lost a week of work once.
  • Documentation is not optional. Future you will thank present you.
  • Premature optimization is real. Make it work first, then make it fast.
  • Backup everything. Cloud storage is cheap, data loss is expensive.
  • Sleep is not negotiable. Tired brain writes terrible code.
  • Ask for help early. Struggling alone for days is not productive.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Tools I Can't Live Without

  • Git - Version control is life
  • VS Code - My second home
  • Obsidian - External brain for notes
  • Google Calendar - Without it, I'd miss everything
  • Spotify - Focus music is essential

๐Ÿ“š Papers That Blew My Mind

๐ŸŽฏ Current Obsessions

  • Computer vision and fake image detection
  • Evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence
  • Building this blog and adding features (you're seeing the result!)
  • Improving my technical writing
  • Learning to balance work, study, and life

๐Ÿค“ Sheldon Cooper Inspiration

This website was inspired by Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. I love how he documented everything - from his enemy lists to his bathroom schedule. While you won't find my bathroom schedule here (sorry!), I do try to document my learnings, experiments, and thoughts as thoroughly as possible.

Like Sheldon, I believe in the power of systematic documentation and organization. Unlike Sheldon, I try to be a bit more... socially acceptable about it ๐Ÿ˜„
